Let a New RAM 1500 Show You How It Tows the Line for Your Jennings Workday
For southern Louisiana, it has been a light-duty pickup of choice, capable of shouldering many of the toughest jobs around. Back for the latest model year in a lineup of trims ranging from Tradesman and Big Horn/Lone Star to Rebel, Laramie and Laramie Longhorn, all the way to Limited, it's already practically defining the full-size truck segment. It's the RAM 1500, and you can check out its workhorse performance right here at Sterling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Jennings.
It starts in newer models with a selection of Pentastar® V6 and HEMI® V8 engines, paired with a TorqueFlite® auto transmission to deliver nearly seamless gear shifts to match all that raw power for the Eunice haul. Thanks in part to an active front air dam that helps reduce drag, you can expect combined fuel economy and driving range at the top of the class for the highway through Crowley and Rayne to Lafayette, to be sure. But factor in enhancements like an electronic locking rear differential, optional Active-Level four-corner air suspension with automatic load leveling, and available front tow hooks, and you can lug up to 12,750 pounds -- a rating near the head of the pack. Select trims even feature off-grid improvements like available 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires, among others, great for turning the grind during the week into a pleasure cruise over the weekend.
Of course, a new RAM 1500 is exemplary of our automaker's commitment to your drive-time security, too. In fact, more than 100 safety features come both standard and available across the lineup to help protect you and your quarry, ranging from Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection to Lane Departure Warning-Plus and adaptive cruise control with stop and go and more. There's a ParkView® rear backup camera and parallel and perpendicular park assist available to make slipping into place at your destination a snap as well as optional LED headlamps, taillamps and fog lamps to illuminate the way en route.
But inside is where a competent mobile office comes together. The cabin's home to premium cloth and leather-trimmed seating choices, available heated and ventilated up front, as well as optional heated, full-leather, and reclining rear seats in select cab configurations. Moreover, you can choose among several Uconnect® infotainment systems, with one option a class-largest 12 inches. Bring an optional premium 7-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display and available 10-speaker Alpine and 900-watt Harman Kardon audio systems into the mix, and you can both keep an eye on driving metrics and remain entertained for the duration.
RAM 1500 is, finally, nothing if not a model of versatile storage solutions. A RamBox® Cargo Management System, exclusive to the class, comes available for storing and organizing tools, and in-floor storage is an option to stow small essentials. The cargo bed's also a whopping maximum volume of 61.5 cubic feet, offering plenty of space for outboard equipment and easily accessible via an easy-to-lower-and-raise dampened tailgate.
